These terms are an agreement between you and LightYoke, which builds and runs this app, and the ministry you serve with, which uses it to organize volunteers. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
The app is a scheduling and communication tool. It helps the ministry post needs, gather volunteers, and keep a team in touch. LightYoke does not supervise, direct, inspect or guarantee any work. The ministry and its leaders organize and supervise each visit.
You must be 18 or older, approved by the ministry, and must keep your account details accurate. Your account is for you alone; don’t share your sign-in.
Before you serve you must pass the ministry’s background check and agree to the Volunteer Release and the Code of Conduct. You choose which needs to help with. You may decline any task, and you may stop work at any time if you think it is unsafe.
Don’t post anything unlawful, threatening, harassing, sexual, or that shares someone’s private information. Don’t take or share pictures of people without their permission. Don’t try to see information you aren’t meant to see. Admins may hide or remove content, and suspend or close accounts, to protect the people we serve and the volunteers serving.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and who can see it. A person’s address stays inside the app and is shown only to the team who need it, at the time they need it.
Notifications and texts are optional. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts.
The app is provided “as is.” We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don’t promise it will always work, be error-free, or that notices will always arrive. Always confirm important details with your leader.
To the fullest extent the law allows, LightYoke is not responsible for injury, loss or damage arising from any visit, task or work arranged through the app, or from the conduct of any user.
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
You may delete your account at any time (Me → Delete my account). The ministry or LightYoke may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska.
